VACANCY NO: 11/HS/2024: MORTICIAN: TWO (2) POSTS
For recruitment to this post, an applicant MUST have: –
- Certificate in Mortician Course lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution;
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D (plain) or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in computer application skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: –
- Picking bodies from wards, admission of bodies to mortuary; documentation of data and recording; identification of medico-legal cases; preparation of bodies for burial including embalming; reconstruction of bodies; body cleaning and dressing; beautification-shaving, cosmetic/make-ups and plaiting; assisting pathologist in autopsy/postmortems; cleaning of mortuary and equipment and instruments used in the mortuary; guidance of students on attachments/visits; harvesting of body organs, fingerprints, fluids and specimens for forensic study; remove foreign implants in the body; and help relatives in the identification of unknown bodies.
Method of Application
For appointment to this internship position, a candidate MUST have:
Graduated within the last three (3) years

Twelve (12) Months Non-renewable
Stipend
A stipend will be paid at a rate determined by the Government.

Upon successful completion of the internship programme, a certificate will be awarded
